Our story
Nature Way Farms was founded in 2005 with a simple mission: to provide the local community with healthy, organic, and sustainably raised food. From the beginning, the farm has focused on doing things differently: raising livestock the way nature intended and keeping farming transparent, approachable, and community-driven.
Our cattle are raised outdoors on open pastures for their entire lives, grazing exclusively on grass that is never treated with chemical fertilizers. We practice regenerative farming methods that prioritize soil health, animal welfare, and a balanced ecosystem. By minimizing stress, avoiding heavy mechanization, and treating our livestock with respect, we’re able to produce beef that is truly natural, something you won’t find on a grocery store shelf. Unlike commercial operations, our beef is never injected with liquids or additives. Cattle are humanely processed at maturity, then packaged and prepared for retail with care, preserving the quality and integrity of the meat from pasture to plate.
Nature’s Way Farms was started by Brent Lambert, known to many as Farmer Brent, who believed deeply in simple, honest farming and in educating others about where their food comes from. Over the years, Brent welcomed countless visitors through farm tours, sharing his passion for regenerative agriculture and community connection. After Brent’s sudden passing in October 2025, the farm’s legacy continues under the management of Nathan who has worked on the farm since he was 11 years old and learned directly from Brent.
Today, Nature’s Way Farms remains committed to the same principles it was founded on: 100% organic, grass-fed beef, raised responsibly and shared with the local community. As we grow, we look forward to continuing to serve our neighbors and expanding our reach throughout the Pittsburgh and Butler areas, without ever compromising the values that started it all.
